Evaluations/Audits/Assessments:
Our experienced consultants can evaluate existing steam systems to identify potentially dangerous piping configurations that could lead to a condensation-induced water hammer, and new or modified steam systems and processes. We believe that accident prevention is paramount and our goal is to help minimize the potential for a condensation induced water hammer or other steam related accidents from occurring at your facility! Additionally, COMTEC can support Facility Readiness Assessments (RA's) and Operations Readiness Reviews (ORR's), to assist managers in the startup of new equipment, systems, and facilities. Our company provides assessment and audit support for achieving and maintaining formality of operations among managers, supervisors, operators, and maintenance personnel in accordance with facility policies, procedures, and OSHA and DOE requirements.

We provide management support and assistance in assessing and evaluating the following areas:

Emergency perparedness training.

Research & Development:
COMTEC is continuously involved in a variety of research and development concepts to support the ever-changing needs of our industrial clients. By using the latest state-of-art modeling techniques, we provide analytical research into the cause and effect of various piping system anomalies such as condensation induced water hammer (steam void collapse). The results of this type of research will support the development of safer operating practices and procedures for both the steam and ammonia refrigeration industries.

Emergency Preparedness:
COMTEC International, Inc. professionals can provide companies with emergency preparedness drills, table-top exercises (TTX), and functional exercises.

Emergency preparedness exercises can be conducted to evaluate an organization’s capabilities to execute one or more portions of its response plan or contingency plan. Many successful studies of emergency responses over the years have proven that demonstrating emergency exercises pays huge dividends when an actual emergency occurs. Performing emergency exercise simulations can reveal multiple deficiencies in procedure, policies, and training. People respond to emergencies in the way they have been trained.
