Course Description:
This course is designed for steam system distribution operators and maintenance personnel who are exposed to extreme steam pressures and temperatures (over 1000 psig and temperatures over 600 degrees Fahrenheit). Course includes basic steam fundamentals, safety hazards, appropriate PPE, emergency responses to steam burns, and special considerations and techniques used for startup, operation, and shutdown of very high-pressure steam systems.
